Antique SLAG Glass Chalice w/Lid

Lavender Seas fragrance. All natural soy wax.

This large, antique SLAG Glass chalice is unique and highly collectible! It has a swirled purple and white aesthetic, and etched geometric design and the candle has three wicks for a more efficient burn. After your candle has burned down, this antique masterpiece is perfect for a mantle or table centerpiece. (*there is a small chip on the inside rim of this piece)

Slag Glass is sometimes referred to as “marble glass”. Its namesake is derived from the original method by which it was created…. in the late 1800’s Slag Glass was made using “silicate slag” which is an ingredient that forms as molten iron ore cools. This ingredient was added and mixed with the glass in the molten state to create this marbled effect (popular in many glass lampshades you might remember!) Other methods were later developed for creating this beautiful glassware, but the Slag name stuck!

To reuse your vintage candle container: after the candle has burned down, scoop out any remaining wax with a spoon and discard. Then simply wash out the vessel with warm, soapy water and since soy wax is water soluble, it’s that easy. Now you’re ready to enjoy your vintage treasure for years to come!
