It was an affordable *bright spot* in American homes during the dark days of the Depression era. Each piece cost around 5-10 cents and the glassware was often packed in cereal boxes or flour bags, and even given away at local movie theaters, gas stations and grocery stores!

    To reuse your vintage candle container: after the candle has burned down, scoop out any remaining wax with a spoon and discard.
